Allelic sharing among madurese as a tool of madurese identification using 11 short tandem repeats and amelogenin gene: An observational analytical study

Aim: To analyze the allelic sharing and a set of preferable short tandem repeats (STRs) loci among Madurese full siblings. Materials Methods: This was an observational analytical study. The research subjects were determined from 20 families that originated Madura Island, Indonesia consisting father, mother, two biological children. blood samples collected, kinship relationship examined by using PCR-STR technique 11 genotyped STR alleles sex-typing amelogenin locus. Calculations combined sibship indices (CSIs) for each pair done to determine likelihood ratios. Results: Based on 220 observations (20 pairs sibling x loci) allele genotype, 4 found: D8S1179, F13, CSF1PO, FES. A high-shared frequency found in shared 57 times (25.9%), one eleven 130 (59.1%), zero 33 (15.0%). Conclusion: study indicated power establishment through loci.
